Job summary

Viridian in Palmerston North is seeking a customer service representative to join our team for a 4-month maternity cover. You will work closely with customers, internal sales and installations teams, handling orders, quotes and inquiries.

Hours 8.00am–4.30pm, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years customer service experience, strong communication, data entry accuracy, and the ability to multi-task under pressure. Pre-employment medical may be required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2-3 years customer service experience
• Experience in the glass/manufacturing industry (advantageous but not essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong data entry accuracy
• Effective time management and the ability to multi-task
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Resilient & excels in pressure situations

Responsibilities

• Data entry - creating and maintaining customer orders and sales quotes
• Managing pricing and invoicing for supply and installation jobs
• Responding to customer and sales enquiries via phone and email
• Proactively contact customers on delivery changes or disruptions
• Coordinating local driver schedules and deliveries
• Checking and receiving glass deliveries when required
• Applying critical thinking to resolve customer enquiries on the first call

The opportunity!

We are looking for a customer service representative to join our Palmerston North Team! You will be working closely with our customers, and internal sales and installs departments.

This is a fixed term position for 4 months covering maternity leave for one of our staff. The role commences in October! Hours: 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday – Friday.
