Job summary

Viridian Glass in Blenheim is seeking a Glazing Supervisor / Leading Hand Glazier to oversee glass installations for residential and commercial projects from our Blenheim branch. You will lead on-site activities, ensure accurate measurements, and maintain a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires frameless glazing experience, the ability to read drawings, a full NZ driver’s licence, and a minimum of three years in glazing or a NZQF Level 4 glazing certificate.

Qualifications

• Frameless glass experience in residential/commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and architectural plans.
• Experience with frameless facades, shopfronts, balustrades and canopies.
• Full NZ Driver’s Licence.
• Three years of glazing work experience OR NZQF Level 4 certificate with relevant credit/knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on installation of glass in residential and commercial sites.
• Perform accurate site set-outs and measurements for frameless systems.
• Manage on-site activities to ensure project delivery.
• Uphold health and safety commitments on-site.
• Provide exceptional customer service and meet client expectations.

The opportunity!

As a Glazing Supervisor / Leading Hand Glazier, you will be responsible for glass installations in both commercial and residential sites. This is based at our Blenheim branch.

• Working hours are 7.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday
• Guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours
• Competitive wages - we pay for experience!
• If you are located outside of Blenheim, support may be provided for relocation costs!

What you're there to do:

• Hands‑on installation of glass into residential and commercial buildings in a safe, profitable and effective way
• Complete accurate site set‑outs and measurements for frameless glass systems
• Managing on‑site installation activities to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintain a strong commitment to health and safety
• Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring installations meet or exceed customer expectations
• Lead, motivate and support the team to achieve outstanding results!

Skills & experience you'll bring:

• Competent and experienced in frameless assemblies
• Understand shop and architectural drawings
• Experience in frameless facades, shopfronts, balustrades, canopies and glass cladding
• Full NZ drivers' licence
• Physically able to perform a high number of glass lifts on a daily basis
• Great communicator who enjoys working in a high performing team environment
• Minimum of three years' work experience in residential / commercial glazing OR a certificate at NZQF Level 4, or a higher qualification, which includes the credit and knowledge requirements of one strand in the New Zealand Certificate in Glazing (Level 4). *
