Job summary

Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) in Christchurch, NZ, is seeking a Product Development Engineer Proactive Quality to drive CTQ measures and quality insights across product teams. You will collaborate with product, project and engineering groups to ensure value delivery and long-term reliability.

The role focuses on establishing data-driven quality dashboards, coordinating with V&V and support teams, and guiding change across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree required.
• System Integration experience preferred.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to capture and document relevant information in an auditable way.
• Solid decision-making and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute the CTCT Proactive Quality Strategy with product, project and engineering teams.
• Define new or improve CTQ measures with Product Team stakeholders.
• Create, monitor and maintain quality dashboards with analytics SMEs.
• Partner with V&V team to ensure risk-based testing for system quality.
• Lead risk assessment sessions with Product Support and partners.
• Support cross-functional reviews by providing quality data and summaries.
• Develop standard processes or tools with SMEs for project execution.
• Concurrently manage multiple project teams and drive change management.
