AIA Hong Kong and Macau is seeking a Privacy Adviser within the Risk & Compliance team to lead Privacy Act requests, support privacy breach investigations, guide Privacy Impact Assessments, and champion privacy-by-design across projects and emerging technologies.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to protect customers and the organisation, upholding privacy standards and driving continuous improvement in privacy practices.

  • Assess and coordinate responses to privacy incidents, minimising risk and enabling resolution.
  • Promote privacy awareness across the organisation through education and advocacy initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business teams to improve privacy processes and governance.

Your Role with Us

As a Privacy Adviser, you play a vital role in strengthening trust by helping ensure AIA treats personal information with care, fairness, and respect. Working within the Risk & Compliance team, you partner with stakeholders across the business to lead Privacy Act requests, support privacy breach investigations, guide Privacy Impact Assessments, and champion privacy-by-design practices. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on customer outcomes while influencing how privacy is embedded across projects, processes, and emerging technologies. You will join a collaborative team environment where your expertise, judgement, and relationship-building skills help protect both customers and the business.

Your Impact
  • Lead the end-to-end management of Privacy Act requests, delivering timely, fair, and compliant outcomes for customers.
  • Guide stakeholders through Privacy Impact Assessments, embedding privacy-by-design principles into business initiatives and change programmes.
  • Assess and coordinate responses to privacy incidents, helping minimise risk and support effective resolution.
  • Promote privacy awareness across the organisation through education, engagement, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business teams to improve privacy processes, strengthen governance, and enhance customer outcomes.
  • Support the safe adoption of new technologies by providing privacy guidance that aligns with regulatory expectations and organisational standards.
Your Capabilities
  • You have experience applying privacy, compliance, risk, or regulatory knowledge within a customer-focused environment.
  • You bring strong analytical skills and attention to detail, enabling you to review complex information and make balanced recommendations.
  • You have the ability to communicate clearly and build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • You bring a customer-centric mindset and a commitment to achieving fair, ethical, and respectful outcomes.
  • You have strong organisation and time management skills, allowing you to manage competing priorities and meet important deadlines.
  • You may also have experience in financial services or insurance, privacy certifications, or knowledge of the Privacy Act and privacy programme frameworks.
