Job summary

Carters Glenfield branch is seeking a detail‑focused Inventory Coordinator to own stock accuracy, keep minimum stock levels current, and ensure every process aligns with best practice and company standards.

This hands‑on role rewards precision and initiative, shaping how the branch runs and how customers experience it. You’ll handle stock orders, regular checks, supplier liaison, deliveries, and goods‑in organisation, while supporting colleagues and customers in person and by phone.

Qualifications

• Inventory and/or purchasing experience desirable.
• Proficient with computer systems and technology.
• Strong customer-focused mindset and positive attitude.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Able to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks in a busy branch.
• Forklift licence is a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Place orders with preferred suppliers, verify prices and keep FINOPS records accurate.
• Run regular stock checks and FINOPS reports, participate in stocktakes.
• Manage supplier relationships and credit requests, keep supplier arrangements on track.
• Check deliveries against packing slips and maintain goods-in area.
• Follow up outstanding purchase orders and apply freight charges correctly.
• Identify hazards and help maintain a safe working environment.
• Support the team and assist customers in person and by inbound calls.

Our CARTERS Glenfield branch is on the hunt for a detail-focused Inventory Coordinator to become part of the team. You will report directly to the Branch Manager and take ownership of stock accuracy, making sure records are correct, minimum stock levels are kept up to date, and every process lines up with best practice and company standards.

This is a hands-on role where precision and initiative aren't just nice-to-haves, they shape how the branch runs and how customers experience it. If you are someone who thrives on variety, systems, stock, and people, we would love to hear from you.

• Placing orders with preferred suppliers, verifying prices, and keeping FINOPS records accurate
• Running regular stock checks, daily/monthly FINOPS reports, and participating in branch stocktakes
• Managing ongoing supplier relationships by resolving issues promptly, managing credit requests and keeping preferred supplier arrangements on track
• Checking of deliveries against packing slips and keeping the goods-in area well organised
• Following up outstanding purchase orders, confirmations and applying freight charges correctly
• Identifying hazards and helping maintain a safe working environment for staff, customers, and visitors
• Supporting the team and engaging with customers both in person and via inbound calls
