Qualifications

• New Zealand practising certificate and registration as a teacher.
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to inspire and develop others.
• Commitment to high-quality early childhood education and outcomes for tamariki.
• Relationship-building and communication skills.
• Experience managing financial or organisational responsibilities.
• Confidence working with governance, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive practices.
• An appreciation for nature-based learning and community connection.

Responsibilities

• Lead a preschool with a reputation for nurturing relationships, nature-based learning and community connection.
• Provide leadership across education, operations and community engagement with teaching, administration and Parent Committee.
• Support high-quality learning outcomes, empower a team, oversee organisational performance and shape the preschool's direction.
• Balance people leadership with strategic planning, financial stewardship and regulatory compliance oversight.
• Foster a collaborative culture and maintain partnerships with whānau and the community.
