Qualifications

  • Experience managing financial or organisational responsibilities.
  • Confidence working with governance, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive practices.
  • An appreciation for nature-based learning and community connection.

Peninsula Early Learning is a community-led, not-for-profit preschool where tamariki, whānau and kaiako learn and grow together. Guided by Te Whāriki and inspired by nature, we create experiences that build confidence, resilience, creativity and a love of discovery.

We’re looking for an experienced, values-driven leader to join us as our next centre manager.

About the role

This is an opportunity to lead a preschool with a reputation for nurturing relationships, nature-based learning and community connection.

Working alongside our teaching team, administrator and Parent Committee, you’ll provide leadership across education, operations and community engagement. You’ll support high-quality learning outcomes, empower a team, oversee organisational performance, and help shape the direction of the preschool.

This role combines people leadership, strategic planning, financial stewardship, compliance oversight and relationship building. You’ll make decisions that balance the needs of today with opportunities for tomorrow, while ensuring every child and family feels a sense of belonging.

You’ll foster a collaborative culture, support continuous improvement, and maintain partnerships with whānau and the community.
