Job summary

Davin Industries, a respected New Zealand manufacturer, is seeking a Powder Coating Assistant for its busy production team. You will work alongside experienced powder coaters to prepare, coat, and finish metal components, supporting quality control and on-time dispatch in a hands-on, team-based environment.

The role is full-time with day shifts, offering on-the-job training and clear career development opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal products for powder coating
• Hang and remove parts from the coating line
• Mask components as needed
• Assist with powder coating operations
• Inspect finished products for quality
• Pack completed products for dispatch
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support general production duties as required

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Powder Coating Assistant to join our busy production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career within a supportive manufacturing environment.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced powder coaters, you'll assist with preparing, coating, and finishing a variety of metal components while ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the process. This is a physically active role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing metal products for powder coating
• Hanging and removing parts from the coating line
• Masking components where required
• Assisting with powder coating operations
• Inspecting finished products for quality
• Packing completed products ready for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Assisting with general production duties as required

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred
• Powder coating experience is an advantage but not essential
• Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Able to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
