Job summary

Transpower New Zealand is seeking a results-driven Training Portfolio Lead to steer a small team in delivering high-quality learning materials for the transmission sector. You will partner with internal subject matter experts and operations stakeholders to align programmes with business needs and safety standards.

The role focuses on leadership in a growing environment, shaping the learning strategy, and ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing adult learning, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification in adult education or equivalent experience.
• People leadership experience gained in a growing or changing environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, including portfolio, programme or project management experience.
• Highly effective stakeholder engagement, with the ability to manage complexity and work through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team to deliver outstanding outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to align training materials with business needs.
• Impactful hands-on role – lead and deliver in a scaling environment.
• Partner with internal subject matter experts and operations stakeholders to manage a portfolio of training materials and programmes.
