Transpower New Zealand Limited in Christchurch is seeking a Delivery Manager to oversee regional service contracts. You will ensure work is delivered safely, to agreed standards, with accurate maintenance and asset information, across sites within your region.

Our Grid Delivery division is accountable for the delivery of all work across New Zealand's transmission network. This includes project and maintenance work, delivered in conjunction with our service provider organisations. Transpower delivers approximately $500M capex and $150M in opex per annum.

Working closely with service providers across your regional area, you'll help ensure work is delivered safely, to agreed standards, and with accurate maintenance and asset information. Your assurance focus will span safety, quality, commissioning, defect prioritisation, and service provider readiness.
Alongside your peer Delivery Managers (site custodians) and Service Performance Managers (performance champions), you'll help deliver the work programme for your Regional Service Contract area and support event response to achieve service level goals while minimising and optimising grid outages.
Working with our contracted service providers, work schedulers and project managers, you'll ensure work is completed safely, to plan, and to agreed standards. By building positive relationships and encouraging best practice in a technically challenging environment, you'll help minimise human error and equipment-related faults, support fast resolution, and reduce service interruptions. Working alongside Grid Investigations and project teams, you'll also contribute to:
You'll be practically minded, with well-developed relationship management and influencing skills, sound judgement, and a performance orientation. A full, clean driver's licence and ability to travel will enable you to visit sites across your regional area. Previous roles will have strengthened your ability to anticipate issues, investigate, and solve problems at pace, both in the office and on site.
Confident using maintenance management systems and asset data and your known for your productive collaboration and influence. You'll enable quick wins while maintaining the tenacity to lift practice and drive continuous improvement over the long term.
