Job summary

Transpower in Wellington is seeking a Training and Development Manager to lead a small team, delivering high‑quality training within agreed timeframes and partnering with operations to tailor materials to business needs.

You will manage a portfolio of training for key operational groups across the National Grid, focusing on safety, reliability and capability building in a growing, high‑impact environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing adult learning with a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent.
• Proven people leadership in a growing or changing environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, including portfolio or project management.
• Ability to manage complexity and work through ambiguity with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Partner with stakeholders to align training materials with business needs.
• Lead and deliver in a scaling environment, maintaining quality outcomes.
