Our Sector Workforce Development Group defines, develops and delivers comprehensive training that helps our people, and the people who work with us, build the skills and capability they need to work effectively and safely. The Technical Training team focuses on specialist learning solutions that support the current and future needs of the transmission sector, ultimately supporting the reliability and safety of the New Zealand power system.
Partner with passionate internal subject matter experts, operations stakeholders and the wider Sector Workforce Development team to manage a portfolio of training materials and programmes that support the safe and reliable operation of the electricity transmission system. This training portfolio includes the development and maintenance of training materials for groups such as Operations Planning, the National Grid Operations Centre, the National Coordination Centre, the Power System Group and other key operational teams and their tools. Electricity sector experience isn’t required – but an affinity for STEM related or subject matter is advantageous. This is an opportunity to further develop a small, high‑functioning team and operating model focused on quality outcomes for our people, while demonstrating your leadership skills and effective management.
