Job summary

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is seeking a Platform Manager to lead its Conversational Banking platform. You will head up a team of seasoned technologists, shaping platform strategy, delivery, engineering excellence, and operational efficiency while expanding future capability.

You will collaborate with architects, vendors and enterprise stakeholders to integrate with other systems, use data to drive decisions, and foster a culture of trust and accountability across the technology domain.

Qualifications

• Product management experience with platform products, ideally in Contact Centre or digital messaging solutions.
• Strong leadership with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
• Ability to define and align platform vision with business goals.
• Familiarity with software development, integration, platform infrastructure, and CCaaS.
• Data-driven approach to guide decisions using metrics.
• Proven stakeholder management with senior leaders and business units.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• User-centered focus to shape product features and direction.

Responsibilities

• Platform Strategy: develop and communicate a platform strategy that meets stakeholder requirements and drives impactful outcomes.
• People Leadership: lead Platform Owners, Principal Engineers and Engineering Leads through all lifecycle stages.
• Roadmap Planning: create and maintain a comprehensive platform roadmap prioritising features and enhancements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with technology teams, architects, vendors, and enterprise stakeholders to design and maintain a seamless platform.
• Data-Driven Decisions: utilise data and analytics to inform platform improvements and optimisations.
