Job summary

Electric Kiwi in Auckland is seeking a Developer Productivity Engineer to improve our internal developer platform, reduce friction, and help our engineering teams ship software faster.

You’ll work hands-on on CI/CD pipelines, automation, and AI-enhanced tooling, collaborating with engineers to remove bottlenecks and improve velocity and quality. This role values curiosity, collaboration, and a growth mindset, with permanent NZ work rights required.

Qualifications

• Experience in platform engineering, DevOps or software engineering enablement.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in AI and automation to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Evolve internal developer platform with GitLab at its core.
• Identify friction in developer experience and deliver practical improvements.
• Improve workflows with automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply metrics to spot bottlenecks and guide teams.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to boost velocity and quality.
• Share learnings through documentation, reviews, and training.
