Job summary

Seequent in Christchurch, NZ is seeking a Development Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve our Internal Development Platform. You will partner with Evo Development, Security, and Architecture to enable rapid, reliable releases of Evo applications and services using Docker, Kubernetes and cloud services.

You will implement scalable platform patterns, promote automation, and explore AI-assisted tooling to boost developer productivity while maintaining strong security and reliability

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in build or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience working with major cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance the Internal Development Platform to deploy services quickly.
• Implement cloud solutions using modern technologies.
• Promote reusable platform patterns, processes, and toolsets.
• Incorporate AI tools to boost productivity on the Internal Development Platform.
• Collaborate with Evo Development, Security, and Architecture to define features.
