Job summary

Jakaar Industries Limited in Auckland is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor for the Afternoon shift (3pm-11pm) to oversee our plastic injection moulding operations. You will lead the production team, ensure meeting production plans, quality and safety standards, and keep daily performance data.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in fast-paced manufacturing, strong leadership, excellent communication, practical problem-solving skills, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 22000.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices in manufacturing.
• Able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production team and manage labour rostering for the afternoon shift.
• Start/stop and troubleshoot production machines as required.
• Ensure production meets quality expectations and aligns with the production plan.
• Manage preparation of raw materials for current and upcoming jobs.
• Record production data and receipting finished goods into stores.
• Provide daily shift performance reporting and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ensure manufacturing documentation complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 22000.

Plastic Injection Moulding Shift Supervisor (Afternoon Shift)

Our Manufacturing philosophy is based on two main principles:-

- Products manufactured meet our customers’ expectations and are “fit for their intended purpose”.

- Our Manufacturing process is based on products being “right first time” with an aim to minimize or eliminate errors.

We are currently looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our innovative friendly team. On our afternoon shift 3pm-11pm

You will be responsible for supervising and facilitating the day to day goings on in the Factory and making sure production runs as smoothly as possible.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the production team and ensuring labour is rostered and allocated as efficiently as possible.
• Starting/stopping and basic troubleshooting of Production machines.
• Working with key stakeholders to ensure production meets quality expectations and is running as per production plan.
• Managing preparation of raw materials for current and next production jobs.
• Production data recording and receipting finished products into stores.
• Daily reporting of shift performance and regular effective communication with key stakeholders.
• Ensure all manufacturing documentation is followed so that safety, quality and efficiency are maintained to ISO:9001 and ISO:22000 standards.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

• Great Leadership and people skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills giving the ability to make confident and quick decisions.
• Experience and knowledge of current Health and Safety practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritise and manage time accordingly.
• At least 3 years’ experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Be looking for a long term career in the manufacturing sector
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Injection Moulding or Plastics Manufacturing experience is preferable but not essential.
• ISO:9001 and ISO:22000 Standard experience is preferable but not essential.
