We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning & Inventory Manager to join our team at our Hamilton Manufacturing Facility.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for production planning, inventory management, stock control and supplier coordination to ensure customer demand is met while maintaining optimum stock levels. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational excellence, minimising waste and ensuring products are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
This is a permanent, full-time position working standard office hours in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly production plans aligned with customer requirements and delivery schedules
- Work closely with forecasting teams to ensure stock availability and demand requirements are met
- Monitor production performance and adjust plans to maximise efficiency, minimise waste and reduce downtime
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, stocktakes and discrepancy investigations
- Coordinate ordering, replenishment, receipting and dispatch activities while maintaining food safety and quality standards
- Proven experience in a high-volume food production, manufacturing or inventory management environment
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control and supply chain processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across multiple teams
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and food manufacturing requirements, supported by sound computer skills
