Job summary

Māngere College is seeking a proactive Performing Arts Technician to support the department’s daily operations. The role combines technical support, administration, event coordination and student engagement to ensure spaces are ready for teaching and performances.

Working 0.8 FTE (term time only) at Māngere College, you will collaborate with the Head of Department, manage schedules, assist with productions, and promote student achievements through digital platforms and communications.

Qualifications

  • Experience in performing arts or related field.
  • Ability to coordinate events and schedules.
  • Experience with digital communications and websites.
  • Strong communication with students, staff and whānau.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Performing Arts spaces and coordinate maintenance.
  • Manage itinerant music lesson schedules and attendance.
  • Coordinate EOTC documentation and external learning opportunities.
  • Assist with development of NCEA-aligned learning resources.
  • Support productions, performances and departmental events.
  • Update Performing Arts website, newsletters and social media.
  • Promote student achievements through digital communications.
  • Raise purchase orders and support departmental admin.
  • Support health and safety and continuous improvement.
