Job summary

Springlands School is seeking an energetic, creative, and collaborative Performing Arts Teacher to lead and deliver our Arts curriculum across Years 0-6, inspiring tamariki through music, drama, and dance while shaping the arts culture of our school.

We offer a full-time position or a flexible part-time timetable and invite you to design engaging Arts programmes aligned with the NZ Curriculum, celebrate creativity and culture, and lead assemblies and community performances.

Qualifications

  • Passion for performing arts and working with young learners.
  • Ability to plan, assess, and deliver high-quality Arts learning.
  • Willingness to lead assemblies and events.
  • Commitment to cultural responsiveness, including te ao Māori.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum delivery - creating vibrant, inclusive, and culturally responsive Arts programmes aligned with the NZC.
  • Planning and assessment - managing term planning, tracking progress, and assessing learning to ensure meaningful progression for all students.
  • Assemblies and events - organising dynamic school assemblies, showcases, and community performances that celebrate student achievement.
  • Community connection - engaging whānau and the wider community through creative events, exhibitions, and performances.

Springlands School is seeking an energetic, creative, and collaborative Performing Arts Teacher to lead and deliver our Arts curriculum across Years 0-6. This is a unique opportunity to inspire our tamariki through music, drama, and dance, while shaping the performing arts culture of our school.

You will work across the school to design and deliver a rich, engaging Arts programme that celebrates creativity, confidence, and cultural expression.
