Job summary

Ministry of Justice - New Zealand is seeking a customer-focused Coordinator on a fixed-term basis through to August 2027. You will support recruitment, employee experience and people processes, acting as a first point of contact for managers and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Join the People Experience Advice and Recruitment team to coordinate requests, manage enquiries, and deliver services across the employee lifecycle with discretion and professionalism. Wellington-based role.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administration, coordination, recruitment, HR, payroll, or people operations environment.
• Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience providing responsive customer service, including managing enquiries, coordinating requests, and working with shared inboxes or workflow systems.
• Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications and business systems, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and technology.
• Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, employee lifecycle activities, and people initiatives.
• Support delivery of people services across recruitment and PX.
• Monitor shared inboxes, triage enquiries, and route requests to the right person.
• Provide high-quality coordination, administration, systems support and customer service.
• Work alongside Recruitment Advisors and PX Advisors to ensure processes run smoothly.
