Job summary

Phocas Software is seeking a proactive People & Workplace Coordinator in Christchurch. You will support HR and Talent activities, coordinate programs and events, and manage the Christchurch office—covering facilities, safety, and operations. The role focuses on delivering a positive employee experience and improving processes.

You’ll work closely with P&C Leads to ensure programmes run smoothly, events are well organised and the workplace remains welcoming and safe for all staff.

Qualifications

• Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience supporting HR, Talent, and onboarding processes.
• Ability to coordinate events, safety, and workplace initiatives.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across levels.
• Confidential handling of employee information and sensitive matters.
• Ability to identify process improvements and automate where possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR and Talent support, onboarding and recruitment logistics.
• Coordinate programs, events and Phocas Cares initiatives, from planning to delivery.
• Manage Christchurch office operations, facilities, suppliers, and budget.
• Own workplace health and safety, including ergonomic assessments and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to simplify or automate processes and improve the employee experience.
