Te Manu Toroa is seeking a part-time HR/Administration assistant to provide efficient administrative support across the employee lifecycle in Tauranga. You will maintain employee records, assist with recruitment, onboarding, and reporting, and support People & Culture processes with a focus on data accuracy and confidentiality.
You will report to the People & Culture Manager, work 20 hours per week, and contribute to a culturally safe, mana-enhancing workplace.

Te Manu Toroa (the albatross which glides the ocean) was established in 1997 to provide a Kaupapa Māori model of health care for Māori in the Mai Ngā Kuri-a-Wharei ki Ōtamarākau rohe (Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Katikati and Te Puke - the Western Bay of Plenty). We are a member of Ngā Mataapuna Oranga PHO, a Whānau Ora collective focused on improving whānau health and wellbeing across Tauranga Moana.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who genuinely loves administration, enjoys working with systems, and takes pride in delivering high-quality support. This role is 20 hours per week, days and times can be negotiated for the right person.
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will provide efficient and accurate administrative support across the employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for maintaining employee records, working within a new HRIS, coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring all People & Culture processes run smoothly.
You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance, ensuring data integrity, and providing exceptional customer service to managers and kaimahi across the organisation.
