Job summary

BDO Auckland is seeking a proactive People & Capability Coordinator to support a broad range of HR activities, including onboarding, employee changes, development programmes, remuneration reviews, and offboarding. You will work closely with Partners, employees, and the wider P&C team.

Reporting and coordinating graduate and intern programmes, including recruitment support, onboarding, development initiatives, and engagement activities, will be central to the role.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level HR/People & Capability career with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using technology and MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding and employee changes throughout the lifecycle.
  • Coordinate graduate and intern programmes, including recruitment support and onboarding.
  • Provide coordination support for study processes (CAANZ, CPA, CFA) as required.
  • Produce and manage regular workforce reporting.
  • Offer first-level guidance on people policies and processes with the P&C team.
  • Maintain and enhance internal people pages to reflect current processes.

About The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused People & Capability Coordinator to join our BDO Auckland team. In this role, you’ll provide coordination and operational advisory support across a broad range of people and capability activities, working closely with Partners, employees, and the wider P&C team.

  • Coordinates key employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, employee changes, development programmes, remuneration reviews, and offboarding.
  • Coordinates and continuously enhances graduate and intern programmes, including recruitment support, onboarding, development initiatives, and engagement activities.
  • Provides coordination support for the professional qualifications supported study process (CAANZ, CPA, CFA) as required.
  • Reporting - produces and manages regular workforce reporting as required.
  • Operational Advisory - Provides first-level guidance on people policies and processes, partnering with the P&C team to support the effective resolution of employee matters and people-related initiatives.
  • Managing and enhancing our internal people pages, keeping content up to date, engaging, and aligned with current people processes, policies, and initiatives.
Experience and Attributes:

We’re looking for someone starting out their HR/P&C career with strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be collaborative, proactive, confident sharing your views, and comfortable using technology and Microsoft tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. Professional services experience would be an advantage.
