Job summary

BDO New Zealand is seeking a Learning & Development Business Partner to join the Auckland CBD office. You will partner with stakeholders to build capability and deliver engaging learning programmes aligned to business priorities.

Working closely with the National Learning & Organisational Development Lead, you will create meaningful learning experiences that help our people grow and succeed at every career stage. You must be based in New Zealand with permanent work rights.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, Talent Development or related people capability role.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent facilitation, project coordination and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capability with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to create engaging learning materials and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across your portfolio to identify capability needs and develop learning solutions aligned to business priorities.
  • Design, maintain and continuously improve technical and professional learning pathways and curriculum frameworks.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create relevant, practical and engaging learning content.
  • Support trainers and leaders across the network to deliver high-quality learning experiences and on-the-job development.
  • Monitor programme engagement, learner feedback and outcomes to ensure learning delivers measurable value.
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers and oversee programme quality and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate the delivery of workshops, development programmes, conferences and learning events across the national calendar.
  • Maintain and optimise learning resources and content through BOLD, our Learning Management System.
  • Contribute to learning communications, continuous improvement initiatives and organisational development projects.

About the role

This is a varied and highly collaborative role where you will partner with stakeholders across the BDO network to build capability and deliver engaging learning programmes that support business and people priorities.

Working closely with the National Learning & Organisational Development Lead, service line leaders, subject matter experts and the wider People & Capability community, you will play a key role in creating meaningful learning experiences that help our people grow and succeed at every stage of their careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, coaching experience and professional services experience are advantageous
