Job summary

Skyline, based in Queenstown, is seeking a People & Capability Business Partner for a 12-month parental leave cover. You'll work with operational leaders across the business to deliver practical, people-focused solutions across the employee lifecycle.

You will build leadership capability, strengthen team performance, navigate employment relations matters, drive organisational change, and enhance the employee experience. A partnership approach with leaders and a pragmatic mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience partnering with leaders across multiple levels and providing advice on employee relations matters.
• Strong generalist HR experience within a medium to large organisation.
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation.
• Experience supporting organisational change and leadership capability development.

People & Capability Business Partner | Queenstown 12-Month Parental Leave Cover

Based in Queenstown and reporting to the Group Manager - P&C Operations, you'll be a trusted People & Capability Business Partner to operational leaders, working closely with the General Manager and leadership teams to deliver practical, people-focused solutions that support business success. This is a true Business Partner role, providing strategic and operational support across the full employee lifecycle.

You'll play a key role in building leadership capability, strengthening team performance, navigating employment relations matters, driving organisational change, and enhancing the employee experience.

With a partnership approach, you'll develop strong relationships across our operational businesses, coaching and influencing leaders while helping to deliver people initiatives aligned with Skyline's wider business goals. You'll also contribute to a range of people projects and programmes that support capability, engagement and organisational effectiveness.

You will have exceptional relationship building skills and you thrive on partnering with leaders to solve challenges through a people lens. You'll bring sound judgement, a pragmatic approach, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.

You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, influencing at all levels of the organisation, and supporting leaders through both day-to-day people matters and broader business change.

You will have/be

• proven experience partnering with leaders and stakeholders across multiple levels of an organisation, providing advice across a broad range of employee relations matters,


• a practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to navigate complex people challenges with confidence,


• strong generalist HR experience within a medium to large organisation,


• sound knowledge and practical application of New Zealand employment legislation,


• experience supporting organisational change, leadership capability development, and people initiatives,


• previous leadership or operational management experience will be highly regarded.
