Job summary

Fliway is seeking a People & Capability Advisor in Auckland to provide practical HR guidance across the employee lifecycle. You will partner with managers to ensure effective people practices, recruitment, onboarding, and employment documentation.

You will support performance management, employee relations, and wellbeing initiatives, maintain HR records, and contribute to continuous improvement. The role offers a stable, NZ-owned transport and logistics environment with growth opportunities.

• Partnering with leaders to identify people and capability needs.
• Assisting with HR reporting, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring HR processes are applied consistently and in line with company requirements.

About The Role

As a People & Capability Advisor, you will provide practical HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with managers and employees to ensure our people practices are effective, consistent and aligned with business needs.

What You Bring:

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor, People & Capability Advisor or similar role.
• Good knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build trusted relationships with managers and employees.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• A practical and solutions-focused approach to HR matters.
• Strong written communication skills and confidence preparing HR documentation.
• Experience working with HR systems and Microsoft Office.
