Job summary

Mercury NZ Limited is seeking a People Insights Analyst to join the People Experience (PX) team. You will own workforce analysis, build dashboards, and translate data into practical decisions for PX and business leaders.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years as an analyst, a solid grounding in statistics, and proficiency with SQL and data-visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau. HR data experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience as an analyst (People Insights/Data/HR/related)
• Solid grounding in statistics or analytical techniques
• Strong SQL skills to extract/transform data
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau or OBIEE)
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Responsibilities

• Analyse workforce and employee experience data to spot trends, risks and opportunities and turn them into actionable insights for PX and business leaders
• Apply analytical techniques to test ideas and uncover drivers of the numbers
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations for easy understanding and action
• Extract and prepare data from HR systems (PayGlobal, SnapHire) and PX sources
• Partner with stakeholders to scope questions and manage recurring and ad hoc work
• Help lift data literacy by explaining metrics, assumptions and limitations
