Job summary

Health New Zealand is seeking an experienced part-time Inpatient Receptionist to join the team at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton. You will handle front-desk duties, greet patients, answer calls, and support the medical team in a busy ward environment.

The role requires strong customer service, organisational skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team. 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 16:00–20:00, at Waikato Hospital.

Qualifications

• Experience as receptionist or front-desk in busy environments.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong time management and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors at the reception.
• Answer and direct phone inquiries.
• Liaise with medical team as needed.
• Capture patient flow and data entry.
• Assist patients with completing forms and documents.
• Maintain a clean, calm reception area in a busy environment.
