Job summary

Playcentre Aotearoa is seeking a part-time Centre Coordinator in Napier (Hawke’s Bay) for 11 hours per week, starting 19 October 2026. You’ll work with centre whānau and staff to build adult capability, enabling leadership in sessions and centre responsibilities within a whānau-led environment.

Qualifications

• Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification Level 4+.

Responsibilities

• Developing whānau to be the first and best educators for their tamariki by ensuring rich, meaningful, child-led curriculum experiences.
• Role-modelling and supporting the delivery of high quality, whānau-led sessions.
• Providing advice and support to centre whānau focusing on curriculum, adult education and health and safety to support session delivery.
• Ensure sessions meet regulatory and legislative requirements including Health and Safety obligations.
• Recognise the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and relate them to Playcentre and promote Māori cultural values.
