Job summary

Wairoa Playcentre is seeking a Centre Coordinator for a part-time fixed-term role of 7.5 hours per week, from 12 October 2026 to 18 December 2026, in Hawke's Bay. You will work with centre whānau to build adult capability and provide pedagogical guidance aligned with Playcentre philosophy.

Key duties include developing whānau as first educators, supporting high quality whānau-led sessions, and ensuring compliance with ECE regulations and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Qualifications

• Ability to build strong relationships with centre whānau.
• Experience supporting adult education and curriculum development.
• Competence with learning technology for administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop whānau as first educators and provide child-led experiences.
• Model and support delivery of high-quality, whānau-led sessions.
• Advise on curriculum, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi in Playcentre practices.
