Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is looking for a Christchurch-based Parcel Sorter to join the team. You will help load and unload freight, ensure on-time scanning, and maintain accurate freight documentation while working safely and cooperatively with colleagues.

We value health and safety awareness and prior freight experience. The role is full-time, on-site, with shifts Monday to Friday evenings in Christchurch.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely.
• Assist in achieving branch objectives by scanning freight efficiently.
• Ensure all freight documents are complete and accurate.

• Label handling, re-stacking damaged freight, and protection of leaking goods.
• Maintain good working relationships within the team.
• Communicate effectively in a team environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Parcel Sorter to join our Christchurch branch! Hours: Monday – Friday, 10.30am – 7.00pm **About the role - Mō te tūranga** You will be responsible in assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieve target delivery goals, and strive to provide an on time, damage-free service. Additional key duties below:* Load and unload all freight safely and securely* Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently* Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete* Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner* Action bay labels, re-stacking of damaged freight, protecting leaking product* Maintain good working relationships* Communicate effectively within a team environment **What will you bring? – Ōu** **Pūkenga?** To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience working with freight.
