Job summary

NZ Safety Blackwoods seeks a commercially focused Packaging Specialist to accelerate packaging category growth in the Upper North Island, based in Wiri, Manukau. You will identify, develop and convert Packaging opportunities across existing and prospective customers, working with account managers and suppliers to drive profitable growth.

You will identify opportunities, conduct assessments, trials and reviews, and deliver practical, cost-saving packaging solutions while coaching the sales team

Qualifications

• B2B sales, account management or specialist sales experience.
• Experience within packaging, industrial consumables, manufacturing, logistics, engineering or related industries.
• Strong commercial acumen and a growth mindset.
• Confident in presenting solutions and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into practical outcomes.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and opportunities.
• Collaborative approach to supporting and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Drive Packaging sales growth, revenue and margin outcomes across the region.
• Partner with Account Managers and Key Account Managers to identify and grow customer opportunities.
• Conduct customer packaging assessments, audits and product trials.
• Recommend practical solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs and add value.
• Support major opportunities, tenders, quotes and customer projects.
• Build and manage a healthy opportunity pipeline.
• Provide technical guidance across packaging consumables and associated equipment.
• Deliver product and category coaching to the wider sales team.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to bring the best solutions to customers.

At NZ Safety Blackwoods, we're looking for a commercially focused Packaging Specialist to help accelerate our Packaging category growth across the Upper North Island.

This is an exciting opportunity based in Wiri, Manukau for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge, solution selling and customer engagement to deliver real business outcomes. Working alongside our Account Managers, Key Account Managers, Category team and supplier partners, you'll help customers identify smarter packaging solutions while driving profitable growth across the region.

About The Role

You Will Ideally Bring

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously
• A collaborative approach with a genuine desire to support and develop others

Packaging industry experience would be highly regarded, however we are also interested in people with strong technical or industrial sales backgrounds who are keen to develop further.
