Job summary

OfficeMax NZ is seeking a Specialist Sales – Packaging solutions to help customers pack, move, and protect their products. You’ll work with Account Managers, visit sites, and spot packaging opportunities across Auckland to deliver smart solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in business development or specialist sales, ideally in packaging or related sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of packaging products and applications.
• Proven track record of winning new business and meeting sales targets.
• Strong customer engagement, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Innovative mindset to uncover opportunities and develop value-added solutions.
• Growth mindset, curiosity, resilience, and collaboration.
• Excellent communication and ability to present technical information clearly.
• Analytical problem-solving with ability to balance customer needs and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packaging category sales and margin growth while achieving customer satisfaction and retention targets.
• Collaborate with sales team to identify, convert and grow opportunities.
• Proactively build and maintain sales pipeline and qualify opportunities.
• Represent OfficeMax in the field as packaging expert with on-site planning and communications.
• Coordinate responses to tenders and RFPs within Packaging.
• Act as technical SME on Packaging products, including sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to source packaging products per customer specs.
• Keep pipeline and customer activity updated in Salesforce CRM.
