Job summary

Bidfood is seeking a Packaging Category Manager for its National Procurement team at the Ellerslie Support Office, Auckland. You will manage packaging and non‑food categories, develop procurement and sales strategies, and build strong supplier relationships to drive growth.

You will collaborate with marketing, sales and operations to deliver compelling programs and maintain competitive positioning, while influencing both commercial and creative outcomes across the business.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of category management experience in packaging or foodservice.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into business insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

About the Role:

As the Packaging Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing the packaging and non food categories to ensure our branches are equipped to achieve sales growth and maintain competitiveness. You will be involved in everything from setting procurement and sales strategies to developing strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. This is a role where you can truly make an impact, with opportunities to influence both the commercial and creative sides of the business.
