Job summary

Bidfood is seeking a Packaging Category Manager for its National Procurement team at the Ellerslie Support Office, Auckland. You will manage packaging and non‑food categories, develop procurement and sales strategies, and build strong supplier relationships to drive growth.

You will collaborate with marketing, sales and operations to deliver compelling programs and maintain competitive positioning, while influencing both commercial and creative outcomes across the business.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of category management experience in packaging or foodservice.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into business insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and sales strategies for the Packaging category.
• Build and manage supplier relationships to secure best range, pricing and margins.
• Collaborate with marketing to create and implement promotional programs.
• Monitor market and competitor developments to maintain leadership position.
• Contribute to projects that drive business growth.
