Job summary

Pathways is seeking a dedicated overnight care worker for our respite service in New Zealand. You will support guests through their recovery with calm, compassionate care during a 11:00pm–7:30am shift, 32 hours per week, Friday to Monday.

Applicants should hold the Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or be progressing towards it, possess a current NZ driver’s licence, and a first aid certificate. A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential.

Qualifications

• Overnight care experience or willingness to work night shifts.
• Ability to provide safe medication support.
• Experience with trauma-informed approaches preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support tāngata whai ora regain their mental health and independence.
• Provide safe medication support.
• Housekeeping to a high standard.
• Comprehensive note taking and handovers.
• Cook nutritious inviting meals.
• Advocate for and empower the people we support.
