Pathways is seeking casual Support Workers in Christchurch to help people with mental illness live their dreams. Roles cover leave for permanent workers across community mobile, respite, residential and recovery services, offering flexible hours as shifts are available.

We prioritise candidates who can work awake nights and weekend shifts. You need the right to work in New Zealand, a NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent), a first aid certificate, a full driver’s licence

Qualifications

• Must hold NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Goal setting and building confidence for tāngata whai ora.
• Secure a job or housing options for clients.
• Support budgeting and independent daily living skills.
• Attend appointments and advocate for people.
• Help clients connect with their communities.
• Provide medication support where required.
• Assist with daily routines and house maintenance.
• Support people to manage distress.
• Be prepared to help with cleaning, cooking, gardening or everyday tasks.
