Pathways Tauranga is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist tāngata whaiora with meals, household tasks and daily routines that nurture physical, emotional and spiritual health. This permanent, full-time role runs Sunday to Thursday, 7:00am–3:30pm in a mental health respite setting.

Applicants must hold the Level 4 New Zealand certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or be studying) and a current NZ driver license; first aid certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Good people and communication skills
• Ability to work independently within a team
• Commitment to holistic wellbeing thinking
• Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is preferred

Responsabilités

• Support tāngata whaiora with meals and daily living tasks
• Assist with budgeting and independent daily living skills
• Support engagement with essential wraparound services
• Attend appointments and advocate for clients
• Liaise with clinicians to support person-centred care
• Assist with cleaning, cooking, gardening or other daily tasks as needed
