Job summary

Taupiri School is seeking an experienced Teacher Aide – Oral Language and Learning Support to join our team. The role involves working with small groups of students across the school, delivering targeted oral language programmes that help build confidence, communication skills and success in learning.

The successful applicant will work under the guidance of classroom teachers and school leadership. This fixed-term position is 12 hours per week and ends 10 December 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teacher Aide or in a similar educational support role.
• Experience supporting children's oral language, communication or literacy development.
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children.
• Enjoys working with small groups of learners.
• Organised, reliable and able to follow planned learning programmes.
• Police Vet required under the Children's Act 2014.
