Job summary

Ministry of Education in Dunedin is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Therapist to support learning through language development in South Otago and City areas. The role is fixed-term through January 2027 and based in our Dunedin office, delivering services within a Learning Support context.

You will work with families, schools and other specialists to translate theory into practical strategies, coordinating care in a multi-agency setting. NZ Driver's licence required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy or equivalent.
• Specialist knowledge of theory, research and practice in speech-language and learning.
• Ability to coordinate service provision in a multi-agency setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide SLT services across South Otago and City areas.
• Collaborate with families, teachers and specialists to support language development.
• Work as part of a trans-disciplinary team to address complex needs.
