Job summary

Arnott's Group is seeking an Operations Team Member - Baker for our Afternoon Shift at the Avondale site in Auckland. The role blends bakery expertise with broader production and packaging duties to manufacture high-quality products while upholding safety and GMP standards.

You will participate in ingredient prep, mixing, forming, baking, machine operation, changeovers, packing, and continuous improvement initiatives as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Recognised Bakery Qualification or equivalent trade certification.
• Experience operating bakery equipment within a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of bakery processes including ingredient preparation, mixing, forming, and baking.
• Understanding of food safety, quality, hygiene, and GMP requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to quality outcomes.
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and operate bakery equipment across mixing, forming, and baking processes.
• Set up, adjust, operate, and complete changeovers on bakery machinery.
• Monitor product quality and process performance to ensure products meet specification.
• Support production and packaging operations, including machine operation and packing activities.
• Follow GMP, food safety, quality, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Complete production records and quality checks accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and production trials.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
