Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited in Christchurch is seeking a qualified baker to join our busy Bakery team, delivering high-quality products to Riccarton PAK’nSAVE standards.

Applicants should have NZ Certificate in Baking Level 4 or equivalent, or at least one year of bakery experience; a strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to thrive in a busy environment are essential. This full-time position includes early starts around 3am and at least one weekend day.

Qualifications

• Bakery trade qualification or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of commercial bakery experience is acceptable alternative.

Responsibilities

• Produce doughs and baked goods.
• Prepare products for service and display.
• Bake, tray up, and complete varied duties in a busy bakery.

We are a busy Christchurch Supermarket looking for aqualified bakerto join our busy Bakery team. Our team is looking for someone who can produce high-quality products to Riccarton PAK’nSAVE standards. We value great communication, teamwork, and reliability.

• Bakery Trade Qualification(e.g., NZ Certificate in Baking [Level 4] or equivalent)
  • Alternatives: At least one years’ industry experience in a commercial bakery
• Strong commitment and good work ethic
• Reliable and honest
• Ability to thrive in a busy work environment
• Medium to high level of physical fitness
• Well-developed time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Duties Include:
• Production of doughs
• Product preparation
• Bread making, traying up, baking off, and other varied duties
• Adhere to all Food Safety and Health and Safety standards

This is a full-time position and will include at least one weekend day with shifts starting at 3am. (Days and times to be confirmed in interview)

This role would suit someone who can work well both in a team as well as independently at times.
