Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

CranePower is a next-generation Construction Tech company based in Auckland, New Zealand. We design and manufacture the world's most power-dense mobile batteries. Their E-Gen Series delivers consistent, clean, compact power to construction sites, with a footprint 10% of the size of container-based BESS solutions.

CranePower is four years old and scaling rapidly with hundreds of units deployed throughout Australia and New Zealand and 300,000+ hours of verified operation.

The company is now setting its sights on the European and USA markets, and is looking to scale its team.

The Role

Based at their Rosedale office, CranePower is looking for an Operations Coordinator to take ownership of a key part of the business, bringing together purchasing, logistics, orders and day-to-day operational coordination.

At present, these responsibilities sit across multiple teams. This role is the first step in bringing them together under one person who can really own the space, take charge of how things are managed and become the go-to person across operations.

It’s a hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives on detail, enjoys solving problems and wants the freedom to shape, improve and champion the way things are done as CranePower continues to grow.

What You’ll Own Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
  • Own day-to-day purchasing activity, ensuring orders are raised accurately and suppliers have the information they need.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to keep materials and components moving.
  • Maintain clear visibility across purchasing, incoming goods and operational priorities.
  • Identify issues early and help resolve them before they impact delivery.
  • Coordinate domestic and international dangerous goods shipments, ensuring all documentation, compliance and freight requirements are met.
  • Manage inbound and outbound freight across the business.
  • Coordinate export and international logistics as CranePower expands into new markets, including Europe and the USA.
  • Work closely with freight partners to ensure shipments move efficiently and issues are resolved quickly.

  • Keep orders moving smoothly by coordinating priorities, updates and logistics across the business.
  • Become the go-to person for operational information and help create greater visibility across the team.
Systems & Data
  • Ensure purchasing and order information is entered accurately and promptly into relevant systems, maintaining a high standard of data integrity.
  • Maintain clear visibility of purchase orders and operational activity through existing systems.
  • Support the evaluation and future implementation of an ERP system, contributing practical input on operational requirements and how the system should work day to day.
Process Improvement
  • Continuously look for smarter and more efficient ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and information flow.
  • Help build more structure and consistency as the business continues to scale.
About You

You’ll be experienced in managing dangerous goods freight, with a solid understanding of the documentation, compliance and handling requirements involved. You’ll also be confident navigating international logistics and exports, including shipping products across borders and into new markets.

You’re organized, accurate and comfortable working across purchasing, logistics, systems and data. You naturally bring people together, keep everyone informed and stay on top of the details, but you’re also someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs to happen.

You’ll enjoy looking for better ways of working and be excited by the opportunity to help shape new systems, including an ERP. Most importantly, you’ll be comfortable in a fast-moving, scaling business where not everything is perfectly defined yet, and there’s plenty of opportunity to make the role your own.

Why This Role?

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing New Zealand business at an exciting stage of its journey. CranePower is expanding into international markets, and this role gives you the chance to take real ownership of a function that will become increasingly important as the business scales.

You’ll step into a newly created position, bring together responsibilities that currently sit across multiple teams and become the go-to person across purchasing, logistics and operations.

You’ll improve how things are done, help shape new systems and processes, and play a key role in building an operations function that can support CranePower’s next stage of growth.
