Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical Fitter) to support packaging equipment across New Zealand, based in Hamilton. The role involves installation, commissioning, servicing, and customer training, with travel across the country and weekend work as required.

The candidate should have a strong mechanical background, a relevant electrical license, and willingness to upskill. You will work with a global leader in packaging solutions, delivering high-quality service and customer

Qualifications

A Grade Electrical License with strong mechanical skills, or Mechanical Fitter with a restricted electrical license and willingness to upskill.
Proven experience in manufacturing or service-based environment.
Hands-on experience with equipment installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities

Installation and commissioning of Sealed Air packaging equipment at customer sites.
Servicing, troubleshooting and repairs including scheduled maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
Customer training on equipment usage and maintenance.
Audit support and proposals in collaboration with Sales and competitive analysis.
Maintain service records and generate customer service reports.
Manage spare parts stock and service tool kits for your region.
Ensure compliance with Sealed Air OHS policies and safety procedures.
Conduct material and equipment audits with Sales.
