Job summary

Summerset is seeking an Onsite Technician to deliver frontline technology support across Wellington Head Office and regional sites. You will be the go-to for day‑to‑day workplace tech, ensuring users are connected, productive and supported by a hands‑on, customer‑facing team.

You’ll work closely with Service Desk and Digital teams, assisting with new starters, meeting room tech, and go‑lives for new villages. A hands‑on approach, strong communication and NZ driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Service Desk or onsite IT support role.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS and Android) and MDM solutions.
• Exposure to AV, meeting room technology and collaboration tools.
• Good understanding of IT security best practices.
• Strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Positive attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
• Competency with hand and power tools.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide walk-up and onsite support across Head Office and regional sites.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests via the IT Service Desk platform.
• Support workplace tech including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, AV and meeting room tech.
• Monitor and maintain meeting room and collaboration tech including Microsoft Teams Rooms.
• Prepare, provision and deploy devices for new starters and manage offboarding.
• Maintain accurate asset registers and device records.
• Support readiness for new villages, care centres and offices, including go-lives.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth tech implementations.
• Create and contribute to knowledge articles and self-service resources.
• Deliver friendly, professional, solutions-focused customer service.
