Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, seeks a Certificated teacher of Social Sciences to deliver Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2–3 to Years 9–13 entirely online.

Teach engaging history, build trust with students, collaborate with a high-calibre team, and support learning with differentiated instruction and meaningful assessment. Remote work from anywhere in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Must hold NZ teaching registration and teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the NZ NCEA curriculum (Levels 2–3).
• Experience with online or blended learning and educational technology.

Aotearoa Infinite Academyis New Zealand's first tuition-free online high school, pioneering accessible, world-class education for students in Years 9 to 13 across all of Aotearoa. We combine international (Pearson Edexcel pre-IGCSE and IGCSE) and national (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) curricula with a flexible, virtual learning model that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and personalised support.

Teach engaging history through live virtual classrooms to Years 9 to 13 students, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2 to 3 curriculum. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.

What you'll do:

• Design personalised learning experiences.

• Provide meaningful formative assessment, with quality feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals.

• Develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning.
