Aotearoa Infinite Academy is a pioneering, tuition-free online high school in New Zealand. We deliver Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2 and 3 curricula through live virtual classrooms for Years 9 to 13.

Join our remote team to design engaging chemistry lessons, support student wellbeing, and help build a connected learning community across Aotearoa.

Qualifications

• NZ teaching registration or eligible to register in NZ.
• Science teaching qualification with chemistry expertise.
• Strong knowledge of NCEA Levels 2–3.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort with digital technology.
• IGCSE teaching experience.
• Experience with online or blended learning.
• Familiarity with educational technology and AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging live online chemistry lessons to Years 9–13, five days a week.
• Design personalised learning experiences for a diverse student body.
• Build trust-based relationships in a virtual environment.
• Collaborate with a high-calibre team of educators.
• Support student progress through differentiated instruction.
• Provide meaningful formative and summative assessment aligned to curriculum goals.
• Contribute to the curriculum team's growth and functioning.
• Develop partnerships with and report to parents/caregivers to support learning.

We combine international (Pearson Edexcel pre-IGCSE and IGCSE) and national (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) curricula with a flexible, virtual learning model that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and personalised support.

Teach engaging science and chemistry through live virtual classrooms to Years 9 to 13 students, delivering Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE, and NCEA Levels 2 to 3 curriculum. Work fully remotely from anywhere in New Zealand while building a supportive, connected learning community.

What you'll do:

• deliver inspiring live online chemistry lessons 5 days per week
• design personalised learning experiences
• build trust-based relationships with students in a virtual environment
• collaborate with a high-calibre team of innovative educators
• support student progress through differentiated instruction
• provide meaningful formative assessment, with quality feedback, feed-forward, and summative assessment, aligned to curriculum goals
• contribute positively to the functioning and growth of the curriculum team
• develop genuine partnerships with, and report to parents and caregivers to support learning.
