Job summary

CARTERS is seeking an On-the-Go Sales Representative to service trade customers across Wellington South and surrounding areas. You will operate a Transit Delivery Van, visiting building sites, uncovering sales opportunities, and delivering fasteners, glues, drill bits and hand tools.

Role combines account management and trade sales with stock control in a dynamic, safety‑conscious environment. Applicants must have a full NZ driver’s licence and be comfortable driving on busy streets.

Qualifications

• Full clean NZ driver’s licence and pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport.
• Motivated and driven to achieve sales.
• Ability to use systems with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Visit building sites across Wellington South and surrounding areas to uncover sales opportunities.
• Deliver building products and consumables from the transit van to sites.

CARTERS is on the lookout for a motivated On-the-Go Sales Representative to service our valued trade customers across Wellington South and surrounding areas.

Operating a Transit Delivery Van, you'll manage a weekly/fortnightly call cycle visiting building sites to uncover sales opportunities and deliver building products and consumables they need to keep their sites running smoothly such as fasteners, glues, drill bits and hand tools.

You'll need to be a confident driver to manoeuvre comfortably through busy streets and access building sites with health and safety a high priority.

The On-The-Go Representative is responsible for managing their own stock and making transactional sales from their delivery van - this is a mix between account management (for sales), inventory (for stock accountability) and trade sales (for special order processing).
