Job summary

New Era Technology, Inc. is seeking an on-site IT Support Technician in Napier, NZ, to act as the first point of contact for IT issues at client sites in the education sector.

You will manage a ticketing system, troubleshoot problems, and work with cross-functional teams. The role requires NZ citizenship or permanent residency and a valid NZ driver's license, with local travel to Wellington as needed.

Qualifications

• Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 administration experience.
• Azure Active Directory knowledge and user management.
• Experience with FortiGate firewalls and network switching.
• Familiarity with wireless technologies and printers/copiers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, chat, and in person.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by clients.
• Document and track client issues using a ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams and follow up until resolution.
