Qualifications

• 5+ years in driver management or supervisory role within freight/logistics.
• Proven leadership of long-haul trucking operations and driver fleets.
• Strong knowledge of Hours of Service regulations and road safety best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay organized and solve problems under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of long-haul drivers, including recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
• Ensure drivers comply with Hours of Service, traffic laws and company policies.
• Monitor performance using telematics, trip logs and tracking systems.
• Plan schedules to optimize route coverage and efficiency for long-haul ops.
• Address driver concerns and foster a safety-focused culture.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training for drivers.
• Oversee vehicle inspections and maintenance planning for fleet reliability.
• Investigate incidents and document outcomes.
• Maintain accurate driver records and compliance docs.
• Collaborate with dispatch and operations to ensure smooth freight flow.
